SUTTON, W.Va. – March 15, 2017 – The West Virginia FILMmakers Festival, which will be held in Sutton’s Elk Theatre the weekend of October 6, 7 & 8, 2017, is announcing its Call for Submissions. The submission phase ends June 15, 2017 on FilmFreeway.
Categories in the festival competition include: Best Student Short Film; Best WV Student Short Film; Best Short Documentary; Best WV Short Documentary; Best Feature Documentary; Best WV Feature Documentary; Best Short Film; Best WV Short Film; Best Feature Film; Best WV Feature Film; Best Animation/Music Video; and Best WV Animation/Music Video.
Nominations for West Virginia Filmmaker of the Year and the Impact Award will occur in August.
